• We begin our journey at the Main Square of Huánuco, where we will admire the modern Cathedral, home to the “Señor de Burgos,” King and Patron of the city. From there, we head to the Viña del Río Lagoon, an ideal spot to enjoy nature and capture memorable photos next to the San Sebastián Church and the colorful Huánuco letters.
• Our tour continues to the historic Calicanto Bridge, built with lime, egg white, and river stones — a symbol of colonial tradition and engineering. Just 20 minutes from the city, we will explore the archaeological complex of Kotosh, considered the oldest worship center in the Americas. Here we will discover the famous Temple of the Crossed Hands, over 4,000 years old, and observe the enigmatic rock formation of Quillarumi, known as the Moon Stone.
• Along the route, we will make a stop for lunch at a traditional restaurant, where we will taste authentic Huánuco cuisine — the perfect break to recharge before continuing our adventure.
• In the afternoon, we will visit the House of La Perricholi, recalling the story of the famous actress who captivated Viceroy Manuel Amat with her beauty and intelligence. We then continue to the Cachigaga Hacienda, where we will enjoy traditional drinks made from sugarcane.
• Our next stop is the Hermita de las Pampas, a place full of mysticism and devotion. Finally, we return to the city to explore the House of Artisans, where the creativity and talent of Huánuco’s craftsmen are showcased in every piece.
• The tour concludes at 6:00 p.m., after a day filled with history, culture, and tradition in the City of Eternal Spring.
