Participants will experience an exciting adventure doing rappelling on the natural rock walls of Pillco Mozo, Huánuco. They will start with a brief safety and equipment orientation, followed by a hike to the descent area. TRAVEL PROGRAM
The adventure begins at 9:00 a.m., departing from the city of Huánuco toward the historic Shismay Hacienda, once the residence of former Peruvian president Manuel González Prada. This remarkable estate is located on a prominent hill in the rural community of San Sebastián de Shismay, at an altitude of approximately 2,850 meters above sea level, on the left bank of the Mancapozo micro-basin, a tributary of the Huallaga River.
During the visit, participants explore the traditional areas of the hacienda, admire its colonial architecture, and enjoy the peaceful rural surroundings. The journey then continues to the Mancapozo Lagoon, a natural haven of crystal-clear waters and lush vegetation, perfect for relaxing, breathing fresh air, and connecting with nature.
This experience blends history, culture, and nature, offering an authentic connection to the heritage and landscapes of Huánuco.
The tour concludes around 6:00 p.m., with the return to Huánuco city, after a day filled with beauty, serenity, and discovery.
