The Parón Lagoon Tour is one of the most impressive adventures in the Cordillera Blanca, located within the Huascarán National Park. This full-day experience takes you through breathtaking mountain scenery, showcasing snow-covered peaks, crystal-clear rivers, and the stunning turquoise waters of Laguna Parón, one of the most beautiful and largest lagoons in the region.

During the journey, travelers pass through traditional Andean villages such as Caraz, known for its warm atmosphere and handmade dairy products. As the road climbs through the Parón Valley, you’ll witness the transition from lush vegetation to high-Andean landscapes surrounded by majestic mountains like Artesonraju, famously known as the Paramount Pictures mountain, along with Pisco, Chacraraju, and Huandoy.

Upon reaching the Parón Lagoon (4,200 m.a.s.l.), visitors can enjoy short hikes along the shore, climb to scenic viewpoints for panoramic photos, or simply relax while admiring the mirror-like reflection of the snowy peaks on the lagoon’s turquoise surface.

This tour is perfect for nature lovers, photographers, and adventure seekers who wish to experience the serenity and majesty of the Peruvian Andes in one unforgettable day.

TRAVEL PROGRAM

Embark on an unforgettable journey to one of the most breathtaking natural wonders of the Cordillera Blanca — the turquoise Parón Lagoon, a true gem of the Andes.

Our adventure begins at 8:00 a.m., heading north through the enchanting Callejón de Huaylas, a valley embraced by the Cordillera Blanca and Negra. Along the way, we’ll pass through charming Andean towns, stopping in Carhuaz to taste its traditional handmade fruit ice cream, a refreshing local delight.

Continuing our route, we’ll reach Caraz, the last city before entering the Huascarán National Park. The road ascends through the Parón Valley, surrounded by lush highland vegetation and spectacular views of legendary peaks such as Artesonraju — the iconic Paramount Pictures mountain — along with Pirámide Garcilaso, Huandoy, Pisco, and Chacraraju.

At Laguna Parón (4,200 m.a.s.l.), the scenery will leave you speechless: crystal-clear turquoise waters reflecting the snow-capped giants that guard this Andean sanctuary. Here you can enjoy a peaceful boat or kayak ride, or take a 30-minute hike to the panoramic viewpoint, the perfect spot to capture the magic of this place.

Before returning, we’ll visit Caraz, known for its friendly people and artisanal sweets.

We’ll arrive back in Huaraz around 6:30 p.m., carrying with us the energy of the mountains and the serenity of one of the most beautiful lagoons in Peru.
