TRAVEL PROGRAM
- Our adventure begins early at 5:30 a.m., departing towards the warm city of Tingo María. The journey surprises us right from the start as we pass through the Carpish Tunnel, where we witness the sudden change of climate and geography when entering the jungle. We will make a short stop here to capture unforgettable photos and enjoy the Carpish viewpoints, offering breathtaking views of the cloud forests.
- We then continue to an artisanal chocolate factory, where we will learn about the production process and taste authentic jungle flavors. Next, we head to the Tingo María National Park to explore the mysterious Cave of the Owls, a system of caverns hidden within the mountains and home to oilbirds, parrots, swallows, and bats in their natural habitat.
- At a convenient time, we will make a stop at a local restaurant to enjoy a traditional lunch, the perfect opportunity to recharge before continuing our adventure.
- After lunch, we will visit the Sulfur Springs, a turquoise-colored lagoon rich in sulfur, famous for its medicinal properties believed to benefit the skin. We then ascend to the Jacintillo Viewpoint, where we can admire the beauty of the valley and the city of Tingo María surrounded by stunning jungle landscapes.
- Finally, we conclude our journey at the Honolulo Waterfall, a natural paradise surrounded by lush vegetation—an ideal place to relax, refresh, and connect with nature.
