Expedition | Huayhuash

Huayhuash Cultural & Trek

We embark on one of our most ambitious and inspiring trekking routes, a journey that combines ancient history, living culture, and high-altitude adventure. We will explore the stunning Inca archaeological complex of Huánuco Viejo, immersing ourselves in landscapes that once played a vital role in the expansion of the Inca Empire.

This circuit offers a unique fusion of cultural discovery and world-class trekking as we venture into the legendary Huayhuash mountain range, considered one of the best trekking routes on the planet. Huánuco Viejo was a strategic administrative and ceremonial center in the Inca road system that connected Cusco with northern Peru, and its vast plazas and stone architecture reveal the sophistication and vision of the Inca civilization. Deeply rooted in Andean cosmology, the journey also reflects the spiritual significance of traditions such as Inti Raymi, the most important festival of the Inca Empire, dedicated to honoring the Sun God as the source of life.
